These exceptionally large and substantial chandeliers originate mainly from Spain and are distinguished by their elaborate construction. With 18 to 24 lights, they are particularly suitable for large rooms and high ceilings.
Characteristic features include heavy brass or metal frames, numerous curved arms and elaborate decorative details. Many examples are additionally adorned with cut crystal pendants and crystal chains, giving these chandeliers their impressive and opulent appearance.
Most of these large chandeliers date from the second half of the 20th century. Their impressive scale and decorative design make them particularly suitable for spacious interiors, entrance halls, staircases, hotels and restaurants.
