15-Light Crystal Chandelier – Spain, circa 1970
An opulent and finely ornamented crystal chandelier from Spain, dating from around 1970.
Crafted from solid brass and weighing approximately 12 kg, this chandelier combines decorative richness with harmonious proportions. The entire structure is adorned with elegant branches and detailed foliage, giving it a refined baroque revival character.
A distinctive highlight is the generously sized lower bowl, which adds visual balance and presence. The central shaft features two large, star-shaped crown elements, lavishly decorated with crystal pendalogues. The lower crown is additionally set with ten diamond-shaped crystal stones, enhancing the sculptural depth of the design.
Each arm is embellished with decorative crystal elements featuring a diamond-cut pattern, while the star-shaped drip pans are adorned with five delicate crystal drops each.
In total, the chandelier holds 90 crystal pendants, all complete and undamaged, creating a brilliant and lively play of light.
