Maria Theresa chandeliers are among the most distinctive styles of Bohemian crystal chandeliers. Their origins date back to the 18th century, and the style takes its name from Maria Theresa of Austria.

Characteristic features include curved metal arms covered with shaped glass strips and decorated with ornamental glass rosettes. Cut crystal pendants, drops and crystal chains give these chandeliers their distinctive elegant and opulent appearance.

Maria Theresa chandeliers were produced for generations in Bohemia and later in Czechoslovakia. They remain one of the classic forms of crystal chandelier and complement both traditional and contemporary interiors.
