Offered is this delicately ornamented large French chandelier with 8 lights, dating from around 1970. The body is made of massive brass and has a weight of approximately 17 kg.
The lower part of the chandelier, the so-called cul-de-lampe, is formed by 8 beautifully curved S-shaped arms, richly adorned with long acanthus ornaments. Each light is set on a floral, pierced bobeche, giving the chandelier a particularly elegant and graceful appearance.
A special eye-catcher are the three charming dancing cherubs on the upper entablement. The arms, bobeches and lower section are dressed with small and large crystal pendants in rhombus cut. Altogether, this chandelier is adorned with 63 crystal drops, all intact, shimmering discreetly in the most beautiful rainbow colours.
The crystal decoration is complete and undamaged. The chandelier is in very good condition and shows no damage.
