Rare French Empire Style Brass Chandelier with Original Dark Green Finish – 8 Lights
Beautiful and rare French Empire style chandelier dating from approximately 1960–1970, featuring eight lights and an elegant combination of brass and original dark green lacquer.
The chandelier is distinguished by its classical, architectural design. The large upper and lower bowls retain their original dark green painted finish, creating a beautiful contrast with the warm golden tones of the brass.
Eight short, gracefully curved arms extend from the central section, giving the chandelier a harmonious and balanced appearance.
The elegant central column is finely fluted along its length, a characteristic decorative element inspired by classical French Empire design.
The eight candle lights are fitted with decorative candle sleeves made of wax-coated cardboard, featuring realistic imitation wax drips.
With its refined proportions, original colour combination and elegant detailing, this chandelier is a wonderful example of the French Empire Revival style and an attractive addition to both classical and contemporary interiors.
