Large Antique French Bronze & Cut Glass Chandelier – circa 1930
Exceptional large antique chandelier crafted from bronze and cut glass, most likely made in France around 1930.
The impressive chandelier features five elegantly curved bronze arms with richly detailed decorative elements. Particularly striking are the sculptural mascaron heads, elaborate scrollwork and the beautifully proportioned urn-shaped central body.
One of the outstanding features of this chandelier is its elaborate glasswork. The five outer lights are surrounded by faceted, partially frosted glass shades, while the center is finished with a magnificent large glass bowl decorated with geometric cut patterns and delicate floral motifs.
The naturally aged bronze surface has developed a beautiful patina over the decades, emphasizing the authentic antique character of the chandelier. Combined with the cut and frosted glass, it creates an exceptionally elegant and sophisticated appearance.
With an impressive diameter of approximately 31.5 inches / 80 cm, this is a substantial chandelier. Despite its size, the graceful curved arms and transparent glass elements give it a beautifully balanced appearance.
An exceptional and increasingly rare antique bronze chandelier from the early 20th century.
