Large French Empire Style 12-Light Bronze and Cut Crystal Chandelier with Illuminated Crystal Bowl

An impressive and exceptionally decorative French Empire style chandelier combining finely detailed bronze-toned metalwork with beautifully cut crystal.

The chandelier is constructed around an ornate circular frame decorated with classical palmettes and elaborate openwork ornamentation. Eight elegantly curved arms extend from the frame, each carrying a cut crystal bobeche and faceted crystal pendants.

The centerpiece of the chandelier is its magnificent large cut crystal bowl. Four additional E14 light sources are positioned inside the central body, illuminating the crystal bowl from within. Together with the eight outer lights, the chandelier has a total of 12 lights.

When illuminated, the deeply cut crystal catches and reflects the light beautifully, creating a particularly warm and sparkling effect. The internal illumination emphasizes the elaborate pattern of the large crystal bowl and gives the chandelier an especially luxurious appearance.

Delicate strands of faceted crystals connect the lower body with the upper section and emphasize the elegant proportions of the chandelier. The combination of the warm bronze patina, clear crystal and classical Empire ornamentation gives the piece a timeless and sophisticated character.

Despite its substantial diameter of approximately 70 cm, the open construction and transparent crystal elements give the chandelier a beautifully balanced appearance.

Condition

Very good vintage condition with a beautiful naturally developed patina. The crystal elements are in very good condition. Minor age-related traces of use are present and underline the authentic character of the chandelier. The electrical components have been checked and the chandelier is ready for installation.
