This impressive and rare antique ceiling light dates from the late Jugendstil period and stands out for its monumental size, refined craftsmanship, and beautifully balanced light distribution.
At its center is a generously proportioned satin-finished glass bowl with fine star-cut decoration, providing a soft and even ambient light. It is complemented by elegantly curved side arms fitted with matching satin glass shades, creating a sophisticated combination of direct and indirect illumination – a hallmark of high-quality lighting design around 1900.
The chandelier is crafted from solid brass and bronze and features an elaborately worked circular frame, flowing lines, and harmonious proportions. This type of fixture was typically installed in grand apartments, elegant salons, staircases, and prestigious public interiors of the early 20th century.
Due to its remarkable dimensions, this chandelier is ideally suited for spacious rooms with high ceilings.
