French-Style Bronze and Crystal Six-Light Chandelier, Circa 1970
A magnificent six-light bronze chandelier distinguished by its richly sculpted decoration, deep green accents and generous crystal ornamentation. Six sweeping arms carry decorative drip pans fitted with long faceted crystal drops, while delicate crystal chains and larger pendants embellish the central body and suspension.
Inspired by French Neoclassical and Louis XVI design, the chandelier displays finely modelled leaf, flower and pinecone motifs throughout. The warm, naturally aged bronze surface gives the piece an authentic character, beautifully complemented by the dark green elements and brilliant crystal.
With a diameter of approximately 53 cm (20.9 in) and an overall height of 94 cm (37 in), this substantial chandelier is ideal for an entrance hall, dining room or elegant living space. Dating from approximately the 1970s, it is fitted with six E14 lamp holders and weighs approximately 12 kg (26.5 lb).
