Offered is this exceptional and elegant French Empire chandelier with 8 lights, dating from around 1970.
The chandelier is made of solid brass and has an impressive weight of approx. 16 kg (35 lbs), reflecting its high-quality craftsmanship. The combination of golden bronze finish and original black lacquered elements creates the distinctive and sophisticated look typical of the Empire style.
The pointed lower bowl and the upper crown are richly decorated with palmettes and classical ornaments. From the entablature extend eight gracefully curved arms, finely detailed and perfectly balanced.
A truly outstanding feature of this chandelier are the eight seated cherub figures, arranged around the central column. These sculptural elements are rare and transform the piece into a true decorative artwork.
The chandelier and the wiring are in very good condition.
